It is not that wisdom provides wealth. But that wisdom itself is wealth. So the good question is what is wealth? According to business dictionary, wealth is the tangible or intangible thing that makes a person, family, or group better off. Notice the words 'intangible' and 'better off' in the definition . The inclusion of "intangible" indicates that wealth means more than having a lot of money or possession. In fact, you can have a lot of assets and not be wealthy. This is because to be truly wealthy, you must be "better off". Some people are better off poor than rich because in their riches, they are greedy, callous, selfish and restless, all of which they were not when they were poor. Thus, the crucial question to ask in determining whether or not you're wealthy is: "am I better off?". If you gain the whole world and lose your soul , you are of all people the most pitiable! Wisdom is wealth because with any amount of wisdom, you are always better off. Wisdom can protect riches but riches cannot protect wisdom. Seek wisdom first, because wisdom is the principal thing in life. With wisdom you'll make the most of life. Be wise!
